House rules
The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. No additional people beyond the maximum occupancy of eight are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Commercial activities and non-traditional uses, including rotating guest groups during a stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $115.00 per reservation night. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are generally non-refundable. Following cancellation, reopening the dates is at the owner's discretion. If Marquis successfully rebooks the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after the replacement reservation is paid in full. If the dates are not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided payments meet the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in accidental damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to use reasonable daytime hours.
Getting there
The village is within walking distance, and the house is near the LIRR and ocean beaches. Bedrooms are on the second and third floors. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
Check dates and price before continuing with the host. A check does not reserve your stay. Confirm the terms with the host at staymarquis.com.
