The house

This 1,750-square-foot townhome has vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, heating, mountain and water views, and a back patio overlooking a pond. Outdoor spaces include a garden or backyard, seating, an outdoor dining area and a gas grill. One loft has a twin bed and a second loft has two twin beds.

The full kitchen includes a stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kitchen basics and a dining area. The home provides free Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace, television with cable or satellite, books, board games and a video library. A washer and dryer, bed linens, towels, toiletries, hair dryer, hangers and an iron are provided. Family amenities include a crib, high chair, baby safety gear, children's books, toys and room-darkening shades. Children are welcome.

Parking is available for two cars, and a garage is included among the amenities. The home has a private entrance and self check-in. Safety equipment includes smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit. Concierge and in-home services are available.

The neighboring Vail Racquet Club offers a fitness center, pool, hot tubs and tennis courts; use requires a fee. Hiking and biking trails are in the immediate area, with Bighorn Park and Gore Creek nearby. The townhome sits directly on the bus route, with a five-mile bus ride to the base of the slopes. A car is not necessary. The home does not have central air conditioning.
