What are the rooms and living spaces like?

Casa AcoModo is a fully renovated historic residence with artistic, colorful interiors, 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 6 beds, accommodating up to 12 guests. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and features an elegant freestanding bathtub. The turquoise indoor pool sits in a courtyard with exposed stone walls and provides a private relaxation space. The private rooftop terrace has a jacuzzi, a barbecue area and panoramic city views for sunset drinks. Spacious living areas include a SONOS sound system. The fully equipped industrial-style kitchen has high-end appliances, including a double oven and a modern electric stove. The main dining table seats 8, with an additional dining area for 4. All TVs include AcoModoTV with over 5,000 channels and a game console. Cribs and travel playpens are available upon request. The Spanish text also describes restored colonial details, contemporary furnishings, sunny living spaces, vintage bedroom accents, luxurious bedding and a private balcony overlooking Casco Viejo’s cobblestone streets.

Which spaces can guests use?

Guests have full and exclusive access to the entire property, including all rooms, the indoor pool and the rooftop terrace with its barbecue. Bring your own provisions. The Spanish text also advertises free access to a shared coworking space in the heart of Casco Viejo, where guests can work and connect with other entrepreneurs. Ask for more information about using this space.

What optional services can be arranged?

Optional services are available at additional cost: breakfast buffet, private dinner at the house, grocery shopping to stock the kitchen before arrival, a professional photo session, early check-in of more than 2 hours, late check-out of more than 2 hours, and Panama’s Geisha Lamastus coffee (240 g). Let the team know which services you would like to add.

What should I know about arrival, security and initial supplies?

There is no on-site receptionist; please provide your approximate arrival time in advance. Standard check-in starts at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m. Stays range from 1 to 365 nights. Contactless and 24-hour check-in are advertised, although the Spanish notes state that check-ins are limited to 10 p.m.; confirm late arrivals with the team. The house is next to the Presidential Palace, with a permanent police and guard presence nearby. The Spanish notes state that unusual activity may be reported to the team and that a camera at the entrance records evidence of unauthorized visitors. A complimentary starter set of shampoo, conditioner, soap and toilet paper is provided on arrival. Once these initial supplies run out, guests are asked to buy their own toiletries for the rest of the stay.

When is the team available to help?

Our communication availability is from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The team will do its best to answer messages outside these hours. In an emergency, you may call at any time. If staff are not on site, they will do everything possible to assist remotely until they can arrive in person. Please remember that this is accommodation in a home or apartment, not a hotel. Treat the space with respect. Problems will be addressed as soon as possible, but nobody lives on site 24/7.

How can I get around, and what are the parking options?

Casa AcoModo is in the heart of Casco Viejo, next to the Presidential Palace (Palacio de las Garzas), near Plaza Simón Bolívar and Plaza de la Independencia. Historic landmarks, plazas, supermarkets, pharmacies, cafés, restaurants, bars, museums, bus stops and the metro station are described as within walking distance. This historic district was not designed for heavy car traffic, so parking is limited and expensive. Uber, taxis and bicycles are recommended. Ask about E-bike rentals. Informal or unattended parking lots are not recommended. There are four secure, gated parking options at different walking distances from the property; recommendations are available upon request. Paid off-premises parking is advertised.

What is there to explore in Casco Viejo?

Casco Antiguo, also known as Casco Viejo or the old quarter, is Panama City’s historic district and a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating to 1673. Its vibrant plazas, cobblestone streets and colorful colonial buildings are ideal for walking, discovering history, photography, fine dining and meeting locals in the heart of the nightlife scene. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral in the main square, Plaza Mayor, and San José Church, famous for its golden altar. Stop at Plaza de Francia and Las Bóvedas, a monument once used for defense against pirate attacks. Explore the Canal Museum and the Mola Museum, which presents traditional textile art by the indigenous Guna people. Arco Chato, the iconic stone arch remaining from a church built by Dominican friars, offers another photo opportunity. The National Theatre of Panama features ceiling frescoes painted by Robert Lewis. Browse local handicrafts and upscale boutiques, including souvenir shopping and antiquing. Casco Viejo is a center of Panama City’s dining scene, with grilled seafood, Panamanian dishes and international cuisine by leading chefs. After dinner, explore the nightlife or enjoy sunset views of the capital from rooftop bars.

What house rules and care guidelines apply?

These house rules are strictly enforced: • No diving into the pool. • No glass in or around the pool. • Visitors are allowed, but the house’s maximum occupancy of 12 must not be exceeded. • No smoking inside the house. • Maximum noise level: 75 decibels. • Excessive noise on balconies is not allowed. Violations may result in fines, security intervention or termination of the stay without refund. Maintain calm, respectful behavior and handle disagreements through conversation. Disturbances of public order may incur a fine, and building security may involve the police. Keep doors and windows closed when air conditioning is on: Panama’s hot, humid climate can cause condensation and damage the unit. Turn off lights and air conditioning when not needed and when leaving. Do not leave shoes in hallways or common areas for safety reasons; notify the team in advance if you follow a shoe-removal tradition. For stays longer than 2 nights, lightly water the plants if the soil is very dry. Contact the team if you need assistance.
