House rules

Reservations require approval before confirmation. Maximum occupancy is 10; additional guests require express approval. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Events are prohibited; reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating groups require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage, defined as utility costs over $125.00 per reservation night. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates; reopening is at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after the new reservation is paid in full. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of accidental damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Ocean Road Beach is two blocks away and a short walk from the house. Mecox and Sagg Main beaches are nearby. The home is not handicap accessible and is not suitable for unrelated guests. The primary renter must be at least 35 years old. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool, outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
