House rules

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Maximum occupancy is 10; additional guests beyond this limit are prohibited. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Any proposed events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating guest groups require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Pets require owner approval and may incur additional fees and/or a security deposit. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage, defined as utility costs over $150.00 per night of the reservation. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and one end-of-stay cleaning are included; extra cleanings are available at the guest's expense. A refundable cash security deposit of $3,500 is required, governed by a separate agreement signed by the owner and guest before check-in. Balance payments by credit card are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, reoffering the dates is at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less 20% of the original total reservation amount is issued after full payment is collected for the replacement reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is not handicap accessible. Sag Harbor is a five-minute drive away. Outdoor furniture and equipment availability should be confirmed for stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
