House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. No additional persons beyond the maximum occupancy of six are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Events are prohibited. Any reservation involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses, or rotating groups requires prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $3,030.00 per night of the reservation. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If the owner agrees to reopen cancelled dates and the property is rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, the original dates may still be used if payments comply with the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, up to $25,000 of damage protection applies, subject to the booking agreement.

Getting there

The cottage is near Long Beach. The property is not suitable for persons with disabilities. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
