House rules

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Maximum occupancy is six; no additional persons are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Any reservation involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating groups requires prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. One dog weighing 150 lbs or less is permitted; larger dogs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If a cancelled stay is reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If it is not rebooked, guests may use the original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of accidental-damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Beach relaxation, kayaking, windsurfing and paddleboarding are a few blocks away. The home is not handicap accessible. Before booking outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire whether outdoor furniture and equipment will be available; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
