House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Occupancy is limited to eight; no additional persons are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating guest groups, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $65.00 per night of the reservation. One hypoallergenic, non-shedding dog of 40 lbs or less is permitted for $150.00 per booking. Other dogs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. No water dogs are permitted. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about availability of outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May. Reservations require approval before confirmation. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to use reasonable daytime hours. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner’s discretion and successfully rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, up to $25,000 of damage protection applies, subject to the booking agreement.

Getting there

Long Beach is 0.5 miles away on foot; the ocean is 8 miles away. The home is waterfront with a private dock. All bedrooms are upstairs. The property is not suitable for unrelated guests.
