House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage. One dog of 20 lbs or less is permitted for $500.00 per booking; larger dogs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. For stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool availability and outdoor furniture/equipment. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis may work with the owner to reopen the dates. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price and the replacement reservation is fully paid, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued. Reopening dates is the owner’s decision. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use the original dates provided payments follow the booking schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The property is not handicap accessible. The coastline is a short drive away. Nearby beaches include Cooper’s Beach, Flying Point Beach, Halsey Neck Beach, Cryder Beach and Little Plains Beach.
