# Windows on the Sea Duck, NC, United States (general area) ## About the house Windows on the Sea accommodates up to 18 guests and has nine bathrooms: seven full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. The open-concept great room has expansive ocean-facing windows, seating and a large television. An enclosed study with a desk and chair is reached by a short set of stairs. The kitchen includes a five-burner cooktop, double oven, two dishwashers, beverage cooler and an island with seating. Additional equipment includes a blender, microwave, toaster, drip and pod coffee makers, cookware, dishes and utensils. An elevator serves the home. Six ensuite bedrooms are arranged across three levels. The third-floor ensuite has a private oceanfront deck, gas fireplace and a bathroom with a standing shower and whirlpool tub. Three second-floor ensuites have deck access; one has a bathroom and shower described as handicap-friendly. The ground floor also has a sleeping room with a semi-private bathroom opening to the common space. The den has a queen sleeper sofa and a 75-inch 4K Smart TV with connections for video game consoles. Half bathrooms are on the second and third floors. Indoor recreation includes a theater room, a ground-floor recreation room with kitchenette, bar, pool table and foosball, and a second-floor sports bar with pool table, poker table and wet bar. Cable, satellite and streaming television are available. Outside are a private outdoor pool, adjacent hot tub, furnished decks, gas grill and outdoor shower. Five beach chairs, bed linens, bath towels, pillows, blankets, an iron and ironing board, and a washer and dryer are provided. A Welcome Program starter kit provides initial paper towels, dish soap and a trash bag, plus hand soap and a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. These are starter quantities rather than supplies for the entire stay; guests provide their own ongoing paper products, trash bags and soaps. The home is oceanfront with direct beach access by a private walkway described as having no steps. The study requires a short set of stairs. Elevator dimensions and weight capacity are not guaranteed to be ADA compliant, and steps or thresholds may be required to access it. A second-floor ensuite has a bathroom and shower described as handicap-friendly; this does not establish a step-free route throughout the home. A Duck beach nourishment project is planned for 2027. No smoking. No pets, including short visits. Check-in and checkout are on Sundays. Early check-in is available in limited weekly quantities for an additional fee, subject to qualification. Children must not ride the elevator unattended or play in or around it.
