The house

This historic waterfront home has four bedrooms, five beds and two-and-a-half bathrooms. The living room has ocean views, a wood fireplace, a flatscreen TV with cable and a Blu-ray player. A fully equipped kitchen connects to the dining room, and the main level has internet access and a laundry room.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and a full bathroom. The converted basement apartment forms part of the home and has its own kitchen, laundry room and living room, providing a separate space for a couple.

Outside are a landscaped front yard and a back patio off the basement living room, with seating, ocean views and a private hot tub. A golf course is next door, and Yaquina Head Lighthouse is visible to the north. Walk one block to a short trail leading to the beach for beachcombing, tide pools and time on the sand. Restaurants, shops and activities are a drive south into Newport.

Up to two dogs are welcome for an additional pet fee.
