House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during the same stay require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. One dog weighing 40 lbs or less is permitted for $50.00 per booking. Dogs over 40 lbs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $95.00 per night of the reservation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancellation dates are reopened with the owner's agreement and rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may retain their original stay provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger balance payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is directly on the bay, with private bay-beach access and a private path/right of way across the street to the ocean. Driveway parking accommodates four cars. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
