The house
What staying here is like
Built circa 1958 by the Alexander Construction Company and remodeled by Solterra Builders, this home was furnished by West Elm as a Modernism Week showcase. The open-plan interior retains clerestory windows, polished concrete floors, post-and-beam ceilings and movable glass walls. There are four smart televisions, iPod charging stations and an updated climate-control system. Outdoors are five fire features, three outdoor showers, a soaking tub, outdoor dining, a gas barbecue, poolside chaise lounges, bocce ball and cornhole. A covered living pavilion has a wet bar, built-in ice chest and electric heaters.
