House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. No guests beyond the maximum occupancy of eight are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during one stay require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Pets require owner approval and may incur additional fees and/or a security deposit. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage, defined as costs over $250.00 per night of the reservation. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked at the same or higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the new reservation is collected. If not rebooked, guests may retain their original stay if payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Nearby beaches include Gibson Road, Main Beach and Dune Road. Bedrooms occupy upper floors in the main house and guest house. The property is not suitable for multiple families or unrelated guests. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
