Some resort shops and restaurants are walkable; a rental car is recommended for beaches, restaurants and resort shopping. Kona International Airport is roughly 20–30 minutes from Waikoloa along the Kohala Coast.

Heavenly Vacations manages the property, with a local Hawaii Island team available for support throughout the stay. Exterior painting across Waikoloa Colony Villas is underway through approximately June 2027, with each building expected to take approximately two weeks.
