Getting there
The villa is in Bahia Ballena, Uvita. Marino Ballena National Park, home of the Whale's Tail, is described as a five-minute walk away; the nearby-attractions list separately gives three minutes without a travel mode. Direct beach access is not stated. A 4×4 is not required; all-wheel drive is recommended, especially during the rainy season. Travel from San José (SJO) Airport is approximately 3.5 hours by car, or a stated 20-minute flight to Quepos Airport followed by 50 minutes by car. Occasional power outages may occur because of falling branches or weather. The local water supply comes from nearby springs and can occasionally be interrupted. Occasional encounters with insects, lizards, rodents and reptiles may occur despite pest control.
