House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Maximum occupancy is 10; additional guests are not permitted. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Events are prohibited. Event-related reservations, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $135.00 per reservation night. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and an end-of-stay cleaning are included; additional requested cleanings are at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the original dates at the same or higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the stay. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must use check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The lower level is under renovation, with completion scheduled for summer 2027; this includes the fifth bedroom, its ensuite bathroom, gym and media room. The home is not handicap accessible. Tuckahoe Woods nature preserve is a short drive away. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, confirm pool availability and whether outdoor furniture and equipment will be available; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
