The house

Weld Cottage accommodates four guests on a lifestyle property with solar power and green pastures. The open-plan living area opens onto a deck, with a fireplace and heating for cooler days. The master bedroom has one queen bed, and the second bedroom has two king single beds. There is one modern bathroom with a shower.

The equipped kitchen includes an oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. Cooking oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea and milk are supplied, along with cleaning products, dishwasher tablets and dishwashing liquid. A dining table, washer, iron and hair dryer are available. All linen and towels are supplied by a commercial linen company. There is no television; unlimited Wi-Fi is available.

Tataraimaka Beach is a short stroll away, and Oakura Township is five minutes away. The coastal approach along Surf Highway 45 offers ocean and Kaitake Ranges scenery, with views of Mt Taranaki. Surf breaks are nearby. Two free off-street parking spaces are available.

The cottage uses tank water with a full UV filter system. Guests are encouraged to conserve water during dry summer months. A partial end-of-stay cleaning service is included, and a Boost Clean service is available on inquiry. Children aged 2–12 and infants under two are welcome. Long-term stays are allowed.
