Questions
Questions guests ask before booking
Answered by the host; the same facts Chucho uses.
What is the studio like?
The property accommodates up to 2 guests and is listed with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom; the host describes an open studio with a sleeping area rather than a separate bedroom. The open living area blends modern comfort and artistic flair. Eclectic furnishings create a vibrant, inviting atmosphere for relaxing or entertaining guests. High ceilings and large windows provide natural light and an airy, spacious feel. Air conditioning provides year-round comfort, and plants bring nature indoors. Sleeping area: A double bed, stylish furniture and colorful, eclectic decorative elements create a playful yet sophisticated retreat. Bathroom: A modern, well-appointed bathroom with high-end fixtures and finishes provides a spa-like atmosphere. Kitchenette: Designed for light meals and snacks, with a refrigerator, microwave and induction stovetop. There is no oven according to the space description. Sleek countertops, ample storage and eclectic decor complement the apartment. Laundry: A washer and dryer are included in the apartment, so guests need not find a laundromat.
What should I know about arrival, supplies and pets?
There is no receptionist on site, so please provide your approximate arrival time in advance. Check-in starts at 3 p.m. and is limited to arrivals by 10 p.m. Check-out is at 11 a.m. The minimum stay is 1 night and the maximum stay is 395 nights. A complimentary starter set of toiletries is provided on arrival, including shampoo, conditioner, soap and toilet paper. Once these supplies are depleted, guests must purchase their own for the rest of the stay. An extra fee applies per pet. It includes a bed, 2 bowls, a hygienic pad and a bag of treats. Please be a responsible pet owner.
What additional benefits come with the stay?
The apartment is steps from historic landmarks, vibrant plazas, dining and entertainment in Casco Viejo, a sought-after neighborhood with rich cultural heritage and a lively atmosphere. Your stay includes: 1) Free access to AcoWorking, a shared workspace located on 5th and B. 2) A free eBike tour around Cinta Costera. 3) For stays of 4 or more days, a free breakfast voucher to claim for you and your companions.
How can I get around, and what are the parking options?
The host describes the metro station, bus stops and places of interest as within walking distance of Casa Lourdes. This historic district was not designed for cars, so parking is difficult and expensive. Uber or bicycles are recommended; ask about eBike rentals. Informal parking lots are not recommended. There are four gated lots at different distances from the property. Paid off-premises parking is advertised.
When is support available?
Communication hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The team will do its best to answer messages outside these hours. In an emergency, you may call at any time. If staff are not on site, they will try to assist remotely until they can arrive in person. This is an apartment, not a hotel; please treat the space with respect. Problems will be addressed as soon as possible, but nobody lives on site 24/7.
What can I explore in Casco Viejo?
Casco Antiguo, also known as Casco Viejo or the old quarter, is Panama City’s historic district. A UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site dating to 1673, it features vibrant plazas, picturesque paved streets and colorful buildings. It is ideal for walking, discovering history, fine dining, photography and mingling with locals in the nightlife scene. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Panama City in the main square, Plaza Mayor, and the Church of San José, famous for its golden altar. Stop at Plaza de Francia and Las Bóvedas, a monument once used for defense against pirate attacks. Museums include the Museo del Canal and Museo de la Mola, which showcases traditional textile art by the indigenous Guna people. Arco Chato is an iconic stone arch remaining from a church built by Dominican friars and offers a beautiful photo opportunity. The Panama National Theater has ceiling frescoes painted by Robert Lewis. Explore local crafts and high-end boutiques while walking. Casco Viejo is a center of Panama City’s gastronomy, with grilled seafood, Panamanian dishes and international cuisine by renowned chefs. After dinner, explore the nightlife or enjoy sunset views of the capital from rooftop bars overlooking the city.
What care and conduct rules apply?
Doors and windows: Panama is hot and humid. Keep doors and windows closed to prevent condensation that could damage the air conditioning and to maintain a comfortable environment. Energy conservation: Local energy costs are high. Turn off air conditioning when it is not needed and switch off lights when leaving the apartment. Shoes outside: Notify the team in advance if you follow a tradition of leaving shoes outside. Shoes may not be left in building corridors for safety reasons. Plant care: For stays longer than two nights, please water the plants lightly if the soil is very dry. Public order: Resolve misunderstandings calmly. Loud arguments or actions disrupting public order may incur an extra fee. Building security may involve the police if necessary, and the host reserves the right to end the stay without a refund in such cases. Please help maintain a welcoming, peaceful space for current and future guests, and contact the team if you need assistance.
