House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Pets are strictly prohibited. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during the same stay require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $200.00 per night of the reservation. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and one end-of-stay cleaning are included. Additional requested cleanings are at guests' expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, efforts may be made to rebook the original dates, subject to the owner's decision to reopen them. If those dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price and the replacement payment is collected in full, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may retain their original stay provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to booking-agreement terms. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers. Advance notice and reasonable daytime scheduling will be sought.

Getting there

The property is not handicap accessible. Flying Point Beach, W. Scott Cameron Beach and Ocean Road Beach are nearby. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, confirm outdoor furniture, equipment and pool availability before booking; seasonal cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
