Questions guests ask before booking

Answered by the host; the same facts Chucho uses.

What is the condo like, and how many guests can it accommodate?

This lovely condo reflects the concept of luxury and sophistication in contemporary life. The simplicity and neatness of the elements that integrate our space make the perfect place to stay. The apartment has one bedroom, one bathroom and two beds, with a maximum capacity of three guests. The bedroom is equipped with a queen-sized bed and has a private attached bathroom. The kitchen is open and comfortable, and is equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The apartment can comfortably sleep two, and up to a third guest (a child) on a sofa bed. A baby chair can be provided upon request prior to arrival.

What supplies are provided, and are there cleaning or pet fees?

To ensure a smooth start to your visit, we provide a complimentary set of toiletries upon your arrival. This includes essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toilet paper. These initial supplies are meant to get you started; once they are depleted, guests are asked to purchase their own toiletries for the remainder of their stay. Long stays incur an additional weekly cleaning fee. A daily pet fee applies to each furry companion. It includes a comfortable pet bed, two bowls for food and water, a pad for their necessities and a bag of treats, to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. Thank you for being a responsible pet parent!

What safety precautions are recommended in the area?

This is a lovely apartment located near the central area of the Historical Center, Casco Viejo. The area is near less privileged areas of the city, so we recommend approaching locals with respect and caution. For your safety, avoid displaying expensive items or walking alone in empty areas.

Which facilities and nearby services can guests use?

This apartment is located in Casco Viejo near Plaza Herrera. Grocery stores, pharmacies, museums and places of interest are within walking distance. Guests may access the shared rooftop and communal pool area, open until midnight. The source describes the pool area as private, but the advertised amenities identify the pool as communal rather than exclusive to this apartment. Ayala Vida Restaurant offers authentic Panamanian food rooted in the source of its ingredients; do not miss it during your stay! On-site parking is available for an additional fee, subject to availability. Early check-in and/or late check-out may incur an additional fee depending on the time and are subject to availability. AcoModo can offer over 60 additional exclusive properties from Panama City to Buenaventura to extend your journey in Panama, with support from its staff.

What should I know about parking and getting around?

Plaza Herrera and Restaurant Aya La Vida, located on the ground floor and visible from the street, are reference landmarks for La Cuadra Residences. On-site parking: Spaces are limited and incur an additional fee. Large cars cannot enter because of a vehicle-size limit. Ask about availability; the parking within La Cuadra is available only to AcoModo guests. Casco Parking: Located on Avenida A, this multi-level facility offers secure parking and is a short walk from La Cuadra Residences. Street parking: Look along Avenida A or nearby streets and follow local parking regulations to avoid fines. Free street parking is explicitly advertised. Some people may request payment to “take care” of your car. The host does not recommend using them unless you agree to pay and have cash, and warns that otherwise they may damage your car. This activity is not encouraged in Panama, but you may encounter it. Safety: El Chorrillo is next to the building and is a less touristy area. The host describes it as generally safe but advises caution and awareness while driving or walking, recommends not entering that area, and advises remaining near boundaries where police are present or supervising. Traffic can be heavy, particularly during peak hours; plan your visit for less busy times if possible. Use GPS or a mapping app because streets can be confusing and many are one-way.

When is support available?

Our communication availability is from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. to best serve your inquiries. Our team will do their best to answer messages after this time. In emergencies, you may call at any time. If staff are not on site, we will do everything possible to assist remotely until we can arrive in person. Please remember that you’re staying in an apartment, not a hotel. Treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action as soon as possible, but there is no one living on site 24/7.

What can I explore in Casco Viejo?

Casco Antiguo, also known as Casco Viejo or the “old quarter,” is Panama City’s historic district. Considered a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site, the district dates back to 1673 and features vibrant plazas and picturesque paved streets surrounded by colorful buildings. The area is ideal for walking, discovering history and enjoying a variety of fine cuisine. Come for some of the city’s best gastronomy, culture and photo opportunities, and stay to mingle with the locals in the heart of the nightlife scene. Start your visit with a lively walk through the neighborhood. You’ll encounter religious history at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Panama City in the main square, Plaza Mayor, and at the Church of San José, famous for its amazing golden altar. Stop at Plaza de Francia, also home to Las Bóvedas, a monument once used as a defense against pirate attacks. Casco Antiguo is home to several of the city’s top museums, including the Museo del Canal and the Museo de la Mola, featuring traditional textile art made by the Guna indigenous group. You’ll also find the iconic stone archway at Arco Chato, the remains of a church built by Dominican friars and a beautiful photo opportunity. Visit the Panama National Theater to see the stunning ceiling frescoes painted by Robert Lewis. On your walk, you can shop for local crafts and visit high-end boutiques. Casco Viejo is the heart of Panama City’s gastronomy scene. The smells of grilled seafood waft through its historic streets, and you can try some of Panama’s best dishes as well as cuisine from around the world prepared by leading chefs. After dinner, explore the nightlife or enjoy the sunset and views of the capital from one of the rooftop bars overlooking the city.

What care and conduct rules apply during my stay?

Welcome to your stay in Panama! Please help keep the property comfortable and in great condition for you and future guests. Doors and windows: Panama’s climate is hot and humid. Leaving doors or windows open can cause condensation that may damage the air conditioning. Keep them closed to maintain comfort and protect the unit. Energy conservation: Energy costs in Panama are high. Turn off air conditioning when it is not needed and switch off lights when you leave the apartment. Shoes outside: If you observe a tradition involving leaving shoes outside, let the team know in advance. Shoes may not be left in building corridors for safety reasons. Plant care: For stays longer than two nights, please lightly water the plants if you notice the soil is very dry. Public order: If misunderstandings arise, remain calm and have serious conversations. Loud arguments or actions that disrupt public order may incur an additional fee. Building security may involve the police if necessary. In such cases, the host reserves the right to end your stay without a refund. Thank you for helping maintain a welcoming, peaceful space for everyone. Please reach out if you need anything.
