The house

Both self-contained levels are booked together as one stay. The floors have identical layouts and separate external access, with no internal connection. The air-conditioned duplex suits extended families or groups seeking separate living spaces.

Each floor has an open-plan living and dining area with two leather lounges, a leather chair, a flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and a six-seat dining table. Wraparound balconies have outdoor seating and distant water views. Each fully equipped kitchen includes a large two-door refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven, rangehood, stove, toaster, dishes and silverware.

Upstairs has a queen bedroom with a flat-screen TV, a double bedroom with sliding doors to the balcony, and a twin bedroom with two single beds. Downstairs repeats this arrangement. All six bedrooms have ceiling fans. Each floor has a full bathroom with a deep soaking bathtub and separate rainfall shower, plus a second toilet in the laundry: two bathrooms and four toilets in total. Each laundry has a washing machine and dryer. Linen packs and towels are provided, and beds are made for arrival.

There is off-street parking for three cars, space for two additional cars on the street, and room for boat parking. Street parking is free. A garage and smoke detector are included among the facilities.

Shoal Bay Beach is 200 m away. The beach curves 2.5 km from Tomaree Head to Nelson Bay and offers swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, with equipment hire available daily during school holidays, long weekends and Easter. The beachside reserve has barbecue facilities and picnic tables. Mount Tomaree is less than 1 km further along the foreshore. Waterfront eateries, bars and shops, including the Country Club Hotel, are nearby; Nelson Bay township is a five-minute drive away.
