Questions
Questions guests ask before booking
Answered by the host; the same facts Chucho uses.
What is the loft layout and how many guests can stay?
Located on the 4th floor of the brand new La Cuadra, this beautiful condo features a private rooftop with great views. The bedroom area has a queen-sized bed and a private attached bathroom. Please note that the bathroom does not have a door separating it from the rest of the studio. The kitchen is comfortable and fully equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The loft can comfortably sleep two people. A baby chair can be provided upon request prior to arrival.
What toiletries are supplied, and what extra fees apply?
A complimentary starter set of shampoo, conditioner, soap and toilet paper is provided upon arrival. Once these initial supplies are depleted, guests must purchase their own toiletries for the remainder of their stay. Long stays have an additional weekly cleaning fee. A fee applies per pet and includes a comfortable pet bed, two bowls for food and water, a toileting pad and a bag of treats. Thank you for being a responsible pet parent!
What local safety precautions does the host recommend?
This apartment is near the central area of the Historical Center, Casco Viejo, and near less privileged areas of the city. The host recommends approaching locals with respect and caution. For your safety, avoid displaying expensive items or walking alone in empty areas.
Which facilities and nearby services can guests use?
Guests may access the rooftop and pool area, open until midnight. The loft's rooftop is private; the pool is advertised as communal. A free shared coworking space in the heart of Casco Viejo is available; ask for more information. Ayala Vida Restaurant offers Panamanian food sourced from its ingredients' origins. On-site parking is available for an additional nightly fee. The apartment is near Plaza Herrera, with grocery stores, pharmacies, museums and places of interest within walking distance. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur an additional charge depending on the time. AcoModo offers over 60 additional exclusive properties from Panama City to Buenaventura for extending your journey, with staff support.
What parking and transport considerations should guests know?
Plaza Herrera and Aya La Vida Restaurant, on the ground floor and visible from the street, are local reference points. On-site parking spaces are limited and carry an additional fee. Vehicle-size restrictions mean large cars cannot pass through. Casco Parking on Avenida A is a multilevel facility advertised as offering secure parking within a short walk of La Cuadra. Street parking may be found along Avenida A or nearby streets; follow local regulations to avoid fines. Some people may ask for payment to watch your car. The host does not recommend using them unless you agree to pay and have cash, and warns that otherwise they may damage your car. This practice is not encouraged in Panama, but you may encounter it. El Chorrillo is next to the building and is less tourist-oriented. The host describes it as generally safe but advises caution and awareness while walking or driving, recommends not entering the area, and suggests staying near areas supervised by police. Traffic can be heavy, particularly at peak hours; plan for quieter times if possible. Use GPS or a mapping app because streets can be confusing and many are one-way.
When is support available?
Communication hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The team will do its best to answer messages outside these hours. For emergencies, guests may call at any time. If staff are not on site, the team will try to assist remotely until they can arrive in person. This is an apartment, not a hotel: please treat it respectfully. Problems will be addressed as soon as possible, but no one lives on site 24/7.
What can guests explore in Casco Viejo?
Casco Antiguo, also known as Casco Viejo or the old quarter, is Panama City's historic district. A UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site dating to 1673, it features vibrant plazas, picturesque paved streets and colorful buildings. It is ideal for walking, discovering history, fine cuisine, photography and mingling with locals in the nightlife scene. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Panama City in the main square, Plaza Mayor, and the Church of San Jose, famous for its golden altar. Stop at Plaza de Francia, also home to Las Bóvedas, a monument once used as a defense against pirate attacks. Museums include the Museo del Canal and Museo de la Mola, which presents traditional textile art made by the indigenous Guna people. Arco Chato is an iconic stone arch remaining from a church built by Dominican friars and offers a photo opportunity. The Panama National Theater has ceiling frescoes painted by Robert Lewis. Shopping opportunities include local crafts and high-end boutiques. Casco Viejo is at the heart of Panama City's gastronomy scene, with grilled seafood, Panamanian dishes and international cuisine prepared by leading chefs. After dinner, explore the nightlife or enjoy sunset views of the capital from rooftop bars.
