Listing description
The Fern is Australia’s first certified Passive House apartment building, with 15-metre-high living walls in the lobby. This second-floor apartment has a bright open layout, high windows and a private balcony with greenery and seating. The living area includes a couch, recliners and a TV, while a four-seater dining table and breakfast bar provide space for meals or work.
The kitchen includes a Smeg oven, microwave/grill, induction cooktop, coffee maker, Furi knives and Scanpan cookware. The bedroom has one double bed with linen, built-in storage, acoustic block-out blinds, block-out curtains and local artwork. Triple-glazed doors and windows help reduce noise. The bathroom has double sinks, stone finishes, toiletries, towels and a full-size bathtub. A washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities are tucked into a hallway cupboard. Air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, a workspace and portable dehumidifiers are provided.
Redfern Station and Green Square transport links are a short walk away. Free street parking is first come, first served; there is no dedicated on-site parking. The property has shared spaces, and neighbours or light street activity may occasionally be audible.
The building is undergoing long-term maintenance and renovation works, and some areas of the apartment may show cosmetic wear. Construction noise, including sustained drilling and banging, may occur on weekdays from 7am to 3:30pm. There is no work in the evenings or on weekends.
