Questions guests ask before booking

Answered by the host; the same facts Chucho uses.

What is the apartment layout and sleeping capacity?

This elegant new condo is ideal for two couples or a family of four, with a maximum capacity of 4 guests. Both bedrooms have a comfortable queen bed and a private attached bathroom. The first bedroom has a 40-inch TV; the second bedroom does not have a TV. The living room has an additional half-bathroom and a TV with Netflix, Disney+ and over 3,000 streaming channels from around the world. There are 2.5 bathrooms in total. The kitchen is compact yet well equipped, and the adjacent laundry room has a washer and dryer. A baby high chair can be provided upon request before arrival.

What should I know about pets, supplies and the surrounding area?

This property is not pet friendly. A complimentary starter set of toiletries is provided on arrival, including shampoo, conditioner, soap and toilet paper. Once these initial supplies are depleted, guests must purchase their own toiletries for the rest of their stay. Long stays incur an additional weekly cleaning fee. The apartment is near the central area of the Historical Center, Casco Viejo, and near less privileged areas of the city. Approach locals with respect and caution. For your safety, avoid displaying expensive items or walking alone in empty areas.

Which facilities and services can guests use?

Guests can use the free shared coworking space in the heart of Casco Viejo to work and connect with other entrepreneurs. Ask for more information. Guests may access the rooftop and pool area until midnight. The pool is advertised as communal; exclusive use is not promised. Ayala Vida Restaurant offers authentic Panamanian food sourced from its ingredients' origins. On-site parking is available for an additional fee. The apartment is near Plaza Herrera in Casco Viejo, with grocery stores, pharmacies, museums and places of interest within walking distance. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur an additional fee depending on the time. AcoModo also offers more than 60 additional exclusive properties from Panama City to Buenaventura for extending your journey in Panama, with staff support.

What are the parking and transport considerations?

Plaza Herrera and the ground-floor restaurant Aya La Vida, visible from the street, are local reference points for La Cuadra Residences. On-site parking spaces are limited and carry an additional fee. There is a vehicle-size limit, and large vehicles cannot pass through. Casco Parking on Avenida A is a multi-level facility offering secure parking a short walk from La Cuadra Residences. Free street parking is also advertised; look along Avenida A or nearby streets and follow local parking regulations to avoid fines. Some people may request payment to watch your car. The host does not recommend using them unless you agree to pay and have cash, and warns that otherwise they may damage your car. This activity is not encouraged in Panama, but you may encounter it. El Chorrillo is next to the building and is less touristy. The host describes it as generally safe but advises staying alert while walking or driving, not entering that area, and remaining within areas supervised by police or close to them. Traffic can be heavy, especially at peak hours; plan visits at less busy times if possible. Use GPS or a mapping app, as streets can be confusing and many are one-way.

When is guest support available?

Communication support is available from 7 am to 8 pm. The team will do its best to answer messages outside those hours. In an emergency, you may call at any time. If staff are not on site, they will do everything possible to assist remotely until they can arrive in person. You are staying in an apartment, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. The team will try to address problems as quickly as possible, but no one lives on site 24/7.

What can I explore in Casco Viejo?

Casco Antiguo, also known as Casco Viejo or the old quarter, is Panama City’s historic district. A UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site dating back to 1673, it features vibrant plazas and picturesque brick-paved streets surrounded by colorful buildings. It is ideal for walking, discovering history, enjoying fine cuisine, taking photos and mingling with locals in the heart of the nightlife scene. Start with a walk through the neighborhood. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Panama City in the main square, Plaza Mayor, and the Church of San Jose, famous for its golden altar. Stop at Plaza de Francia, also home to Las Bóvedas, a monument once used as a defense against pirate attacks. Museums include the Museo del Canal and the Museo de la Mola, which features traditional textile art made by the Guna indigenous group. The iconic stone archway at Arco Chato is the remains of a church built by Dominican friars and offers a beautiful photo opportunity. Visit the Panama National Theater to see the ceiling frescoes painted by Robert Lewis. Along the way, shop for local crafts or visit high-end boutiques. Casco Viejo is at the heart of Panama City’s gastronomy scene. Grilled seafood scents its historic streets, and restaurants offer Panamanian dishes and cuisine from around the world prepared by renowned chefs. After dinner, explore the nightlife or enjoy the sunset and views of the capital from a rooftop bar.

What house rules and stay terms apply?

Keep doors and windows closed: Panama’s hot, humid climate can cause condensation that may damage the air conditioning. Turn off air conditioning when it is not needed and switch off lights when leaving the apartment to conserve energy. If you observe a tradition of leaving shoes outside, let the team know in advance. Shoes may not be left in building corridors for safety reasons. For stays longer than two nights, please lightly water the plants if their soil is very dry. Keep conversations calm if misunderstandings arise. Loud arguments or actions disrupting public order may incur an additional fee. Building security may involve the police, and the host reserves the right to end the stay without a refund in such cases. Contact the team if you need assistance. The minimum stay is 1 night and the maximum stay is 365 nights. The stated check-in window is 3 pm–10 pm, and check-out is at 11 am.

What minimum and maximum stay apply?

The booking rules advertise a minimum of 1 night and a maximum of 365 nights.

What additional charges and fines are advertised?

The public description advertises the following amounts; confirm them before booking: • Long-stay cleaning: $25 per week (described as “25 dollars” in Spanish). The length of stay that triggers this charge is not specified. • On-site parking: $20 per day in the transport section. The access section instead describes an extra charge per night without an amount, so the billing interval remains unresolved. Spaces are limited, and large vehicles cannot pass through because of a size restriction. • Public-order disruption: loud arguments or actions disrupting public order may incur a $150 fee. Building security may involve the police, and the host may end the stay without a refund. • Informal street car-watchers: the description mentions having at least $5 in cash if you agree to pay someone to watch your car. This is not a property parking fee or a fixed advertised service price; no billing interval is given. The host discourages using these individuals unless you agree to pay and warns of possible vehicle damage otherwise.
