# The Cove Cottage Sag Harbor, NY, United States (general area) ## About the house The Cove Cottage is an approximately 1,500-square-foot home with a private landscaped yard, outdoor dining, an uncovered patio with furniture and a barbecue. Indoors are a sitting room, enclosed sunroom, living room with a wood-burning fireplace, dining room and separate movie den. The equipped kitchen includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, cookware, dishes, silverware, an island, and pot and Nespresso coffee makers. Wi-Fi, window-unit air conditioning, heating, a washer and dryer, a main-living-room television, Smart TV and stereo are available. Bed linens, bath and pool/beach towels, a hair dryer and essentials are provided. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher are present. All three bedrooms are on the second floor and have air conditioning. The primary and guest bedrooms each have one queen bed and a standard closet; the children's bedroom has one twin bed. There is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower upstairs and a second full bathroom with a shower on the main floor. Downtown Sag Harbor's restaurants, shops, galleries and farmers' markets are a short drive or leisurely bike ride away. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $50.00 per night of the reservation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May. Reservations require approval before confirmation. The owner may arrange property showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours. ## Property questions ## What is the cancellation and refund policy? Unless otherwise stated, all payments are non-refundable. If you cancel, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen and rebook the dates; reopening is the owner's decision. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total original reservation amount is issued after full payment is collected for the new reservation. If no new reservation is made, you may use the original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. ## Is a security deposit required? In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection. Coverage details are provided in the booking agreement. Approved special uses may require an increased security deposit. ## How can balance payments be made? Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500. Payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. ## Who manages the stay after booking?
