The apartment has high ceilings, French balcony doors and an open-plan layout, with a russet sofa, a collection of books and a grey-and-marble kitchen. Kitchen equipment includes a coffee maker, dishwasher, electric oven, hob, freezer, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster. A piano, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and towels are also provided, along with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Free internet is available.

The bedroom has one double bed, pastel-green walls, a Japanese wall hanging and French doors. Its ensuite has pink walls and tiles, with a bathtub and overhead rainfall shower.

Covent Garden Market is a 12-minute walk away, and St James’s Park is less than a five-minute walk away. Nearby cultural attractions include the National Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts, West End theatres and Royal Opera House. The neighbourhood has transport links across London.

The home is on the first floor with elevator access, but there are steps from street level into the building. There is no air-conditioning; fans are provided in each room from May through September and can be requested outside summer. The blinds are not blackout, storage is limited, and building works across the road can be heard throughout the home. The homeowner’s housekeeper visits every other Monday morning.
