House rules

Maximum occupancy is six; no additional guests beyond this limit are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Event-related reservations, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during the same stay require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Pets require owner approval. The dog approval fee is $100 per dog per booking; additional fees and/or a security deposit may apply. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive use, defined as utility costs over $100.00 per night of the reservation. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Payments are generally non-refundable. If the owner agrees to reopen canceled dates and the property is rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided payments follow the booking schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may need to show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Bedrooms occupy the main floor and second floor. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
