House rules

Maximum occupancy is seven. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. The property is not suitable for unrelated guests. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory and in-stay cleanings are at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis may work with the owner to reopen and rebook the original dates, at the owner's discretion. If those dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price and the replacement reservation is paid in full, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the original total reservation amount is issued. If the dates are not rebooked, guests may use their original reservation provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. In lieu of a security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with efforts to provide advance notice and arrange reasonable daytime showings.

Getting there

The home is waterfront and is not handicap accessible. Shinnecock Hills Golf Club is minutes away; restaurants, boutiques and art galleries are a short drive away. Nearby beaches include Cooper's Beach, Flying Point Beach, Halsey Neck Beach, Cryder Beach and Little Plains Beach. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about the availability of outdoor furniture and equipment. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
