# Sensation on Main Southampton, NY, United States (general area) ## About the house This 7,000-square-foot, two-story Victorian Traditional house was originally built in 1880. It is on South Main Street between Southampton village's restaurants and shops and the ocean beaches, and accommodates up to 12 guests. A covered wraparound porch has rattan seating, while the interiors feature artwork, hardwood and carpet flooring. All six bedrooms are on the second floor: two master bedrooms each have a king bed, and four guest bedrooms each have a queen bed. Master #1 and Guest Rooms #3 and #5 have televisions. The living room has an L-shaped sectional sofa, and a paneled library/den provides a separate sitting space. The eat-in kitchen has stainless-steel appliances, wood cabinetry, an island breakfast bar for two and a long table. The formal dining room seats eight. The sunroom has two walls of French doors, seating and a fireplace, overlooking a landscaped backyard with a private heated gunite pool. Bed linens, bath towels, a hair dryer, hot water, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, a microwave and an outdoor grill are provided. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; seasonal cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. The property is marked as not child-friendly and not wheelchair accessible. Reservations require approval before confirmation. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $130.00 per night of the reservation. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during one stay require prior written host approval. Additional fees or an increased security deposit may apply. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and successfully rebooked for the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided payments comply with the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of accidental-damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule showings during reasonable daytime hours.
