House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking and pets are prohibited. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating guest groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $150.00 per reservation night. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. A refundable $5,000 cash security deposit is required, governed by a separate owner–guest Security Deposit Agreement signed before check-in. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. After cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen and rebook the dates, subject to the owner's decision. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use the original dates provided payments follow the booking schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

All bedrooms are on the second floor of the main house. The property is not wheelchair accessible. There is no beach access at the property; nearby beaches include Foster Memorial Town Beach, Sagg Main Beach and Ocean Road Beach. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
