House rules

Maximum occupancy is seven. The primary renter must be at least 21 years old. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Pets require express approval. Smoking is not allowed. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $60.00 per night of the reservation. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory and in-stay cleanings are at the guest's expense. Events of any size, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval. Additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If a cancelled reservation is reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total original reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking. If it is not rebooked, guests may still use their original dates provided payments comply with the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, damage protection of up to $25,000 applies, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with efforts to provide advance notice and schedule showings during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Sag Harbor village shops and restaurants are within walking distance; a car is not required for these outings. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
