Events are prohibited; special-use reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating groups require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $75.00 per reservation night. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability. The owner may need to show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours. Payments are generally non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis will attempt to work with the owner to reopen and rebook the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the original total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire.
