The house

The lower-ground-floor apartment has a colourful sitting room with eclectic artwork, faux-hide rugs and throws, and a modern fireplace against a dark-grey feature wall. African masks decorate the entrance hallway. The open-plan kitchen has a round dining table seating four, and a separate small office contains bookshelves and a red leather swivel chair.

The master bedroom has a super king-size bed, grey walls, a rainbow rug, artwork and an ensuite bathroom. A hanging rail is provided because there is no permanent storage space in this bedroom. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, a wall-mounted television and an ensuite shower.

Kitchen equipment includes a coffee maker, dishwasher, electric oven, hob, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster. A washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, towels, televisions, ceiling fan, smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector are provided. Internet access is free.

There is no air conditioning. Fans are provided in every bedroom between May and September; please request fans for stays outside this period. The building has no elevator, and noise from the nearby Underground station can be heard inside the home.
