House rules

Reservations require approval before confirmation. Maximum occupancy is eight; no additional persons are permitted. Pets, smoking and events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities or other non-traditional uses, including rotating groups during the same stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $150.00 per night of the reservation. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and successfully rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided payments follow the booking schedule and Marquis receives written notification at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Not suitable for unrelated guests. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Three bedrooms are on the main floor and one is on the second floor. For stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
