## About the house

Guests have exclusive access to the full lodge, which has an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. The living area includes two sofas, a large window and a log burner. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with children's cutlery and dishes available. Bed linen and a carbon monoxide detector are provided.

The main bedroom has a king-size bed and an ensuite shower room with a WC and basin. The second bedroom has a single bed and a bunk bed with two single sleeping places. The family bathroom has a freestanding bathtub with a handheld shower hose, WC and wash basin; both bathrooms have towel rails.

Outside are a private terrace with outdoor seating, an enclosed south-facing patio, wraparound decking with south-, east- and west-facing terrace areas, and a mainly grassed garden on the west side.

The site has direct access to the Cleveland Way. Runswick Bay has a sandy beach, local pubs, cafés and shops, and offers opportunities for swimming, surfing, paddleboarding, sailing, fossil hunting and rock pooling. Whitby railway station is a 20-minute drive away, with a taxi rank nearby. The X4 bus runs every 30 minutes from Runswick Bay and serves coastal destinations including Sandsend, Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby.

The lodge is on one level, with four small steps leading up to the entrance. Private on-site parking is limited to two vehicles. There is direct access to the Cleveland Way from the site. Whitby railway station is a 20-minute drive away.

Smoking and pets are not permitted. The lodge is not available for stag or hen parties. Guests must either transfer a £250.00 damage deposit, subject to a £10.00 administration charge, or purchase a £25.00 Accidental Damage Waiver covering up to £500.00 of accidental damage during the stay.
