House rules

Maximum occupancy is six; no additional persons are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited under the standard policy. Events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. One dog weighing 15 lbs or less is permitted; larger dogs, multiple dogs and all other pets require express approval. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $85.00 per reservation night. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. Stays longer than seven nights require one cleaning per week at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Marquis may work with the owner to reopen cancelled dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after the replacement reservation is paid in full. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates if payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above that amount must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with efforts to provide advance notice and schedule reasonable daytime visits.

Getting there

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. The property is not handicap accessible. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool availability and outdoor furniture and equipment. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
