The house

The lodge has an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area with armchairs, a sofa, TV and electric stove fire. The shaker-style kitchen has an oven, hob, toaster, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, along with a breakfast bar. A freestanding dining table provides space for meals, and large windows bring natural light into the room.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed with lift-up storage, a dressing area, wardrobe space, TV and an en suite shower room. The second bedroom has two single beds. The family bathroom has a bathtub with an overhead shower, WC and basin. Bed linens and body soap are provided, and the lodge has a carbon monoxide detector.

The private deck has outdoor seating for al fresco dining and a sunken hot tub. Heathergate's shared spa facility, opened at the end of 2023, includes a small heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium. Guests have access to the full lodge and private on-site parking for two vehicles.

Low Gate is in rural Northumberland near Hexham and Corbridge. Northumberland National Park and Hadrian's Wall are a short drive away. Hexham railway station is a 10-minute drive from the holiday park, and bus route 688 connects Low Gate with Hexham, Allendale Town and Allenheads.
