The house

The 116 sqm home is arranged over two levels, with both bedrooms on the lower-ground floor. English country-house styling combines heritage colours and prints with bold artwork. The bright living room has plush sofas and opens onto a white and green marbled-stone kitchen with a wooden dining table.

The primary bedroom has botanical wallpaper, a super king-size bed and a small desk in an alcove beneath the eaves. The second bedroom has two single beds, a curtain rail that creates a snug sleeping nook, and an ensuite bathroom with a fitted bath and hand-held shower. The second bathroom has a walk-in shower. The second bedroom's television is internet-access only, and the fireplace is ornamental.

The kitchen includes a coffee maker, dishwasher, electric oven, hob, freezer, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster. A washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, towels and television are provided. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are fitted. Free internet is available.

Notting Hill and Kensington are a pleasant stroll away, with Paddington Station nearby for travel across London. Little Venice canals, Kensington Gardens, the Serpentine Galleries and Portobello Market offer nearby places to explore.

There is no air-conditioning. Fans are provided in every bedroom between May and September; request fans for stays outside this period. Babies, toddlers and children are welcome. Pets and smoking are not permitted.
