House rules

Maximum occupancy is eight guests. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Events of any size, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating guest groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner’s discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the original total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime showings.

Getting there

Jamesport is a short drive away. Two bedrooms are upstairs. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about the availability of outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
