House rules

The primary renter must be at least 25. No additional guests beyond the six-person maximum are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited; reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating guest groups require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $185.00 per reservation night. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If the owner elects to reopen canceled dates and they are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking is collected. If the dates are not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In place of a security deposit, damage protection of up to $25,000 applies, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Sam’s Creek and its dock are a short stroll away; Ocean Road is an easy walk away. The backyard is not fenced. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking whether outdoor furniture and equipment will be available.
