Is breakfast included?
No. Food and beverages are not provided; the cottages are self-catering.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available in front of the cottage. Large buses may not park on the property.
Are there restaurants close by?
A restaurant/shop is in Freysnes, opposite Hotel Skaftafell. The restaurant at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon is another option.
Where is Nónhamar located?
Nónhamar is in Hof, a small village in Öræfi, about 20 km southeast of Skaftafell National Park. From the west, it is a 15–20-minute drive after passing the Skaftafell Park entrance; from the east, it is a 30–35-minute drive after passing Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
Do you recommend any hiking routes?
Skaftafell has hiking trails of varying lengths. Hiking maps are available at the Skaftafell Visitor Center.
Do you recommend any tour operators?
Local Guide of Vatnajökull and Melrakki Adventures offer glacier activities. From Coast To Mountains offers puffin tours to the Ingólfshöfði Nature Reserve. Boat tours are available at Fjallsárlón and Jökulsárlón.
