House rules

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Maximum occupancy is 10, with no additional guests permitted. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $75.00 per night of the reservation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If the owner agrees to reopen cancelled dates and they are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If not rebooked, the original guest may use the original dates provided payments are current and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The chalet is behind a gated drive on a hilltop, with access to Kingston and Woodstock. Outdoor furniture and equipment may be unavailable outside Memorial Day to Labor Day; inquire before booking. Seasonal cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
