The 213 sqm home is spread over four floors, with colourful interiors, modern art, patterned fabrics and eclectic furniture. The living room has plush seating, and an adjoining seating area opens through sliding doors onto a balcony. A pistachio-green kitchen and teal dining room provide cooking and dining space; French doors connect the dining room to the balcony. The private walled front garden has a wooden outdoor dining table.

The primary bedroom has a king-size four-poster bed and an ensuite with a bathtub and overhead shower. A curtain, rather than a door, separates the ensuite. The second bedroom has a king-size bed and an ornamental period fireplace. The third bedroom has a double bed. The fourth bedroom has limited storage. Another bathroom has a bathtub and a separate walk-in rainfall shower.

Kitchen equipment includes a coffee maker, dishwasher, oven, hob, freezer, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster. A washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, towels, TV and baby cot are available. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are provided. Free internet is available.

There is no air-conditioning. Fans are provided in every bedroom from May through September; please request fans for stays outside this period. Exterior CCTV cameras are present, with none indoors. The housekeeper visits every Monday between 08:00 and 13:00. This family home shows some wear and tear. A resident dog will be away during guest stays, but the home may not suit guests with allergies.

Gloucester Road and South Kensington underground stations are a 15-minute walk away. King’s Road offers shops and galleries; nearby cultural attractions include the Saatchi Gallery and Royal Albert Hall, with museums in South Kensington.
