## About the house

Merrill House is a Gothic Revival historic house with 14 individually designed rooms and suites, fine antiques, contemporary art, and modern appointments. Shared features include a wine cellar, conservatory bar, sauna, drawing room, parlour, balconies, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and gardens. All bedrooms have fine French linens, pillow options, a smart television with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, a mini themed library, coffee and tea amenities, and sparkling water. All bathrooms have French linens, dressing gowns, a heated towel rack, toiletries, a multi-mode shower with a rain head, and a hair dryer. The hotel offers a complimentary gourmet breakfast for direct bookings; breakfast charges and service gratuity apply to third-party bookings.

The hotel is in Picton, in Prince Edward County. The Owner's Suite is on the third floor; the Tower Suite and Gothic Room are on the third floor. The hotel has no elevator.

A 4% Prince Edward County accommodation tax plus HST is added to room prices. Standard Rate bookings are charged in full and are non-refundable and non-creditable. For Flexible Rate bookings, payment is taken in full 14 days before arrival. More than 14 days before arrival, bookings can be cancelled or changed without charge. Between two and 14 days before arrival, cancellation yields a 50% refund or 100% credit. Within 48 hours of arrival, no refund or credit is available. Group bookings of four or more rooms require a 20% non-refundable deposit at booking; full payment is due 30 days before arrival. Group cancellations 30 days before arrival incur no additional charge, but the deposit is non-refundable; cancellations within 14 days of arrival receive no refund or credit.

## When is breakfast served?
Weekend breakfast seatings in the wine cellar begin at 8:00 a.m. and are offered every half hour, with the last sitting at 10:00 a.m. During low-season weekdays, croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice are provided.

## What are the breakfast charges?
For direct bookings, breakfast is complimentary, plus a $5.00 gratuity per person booked. For third-party bookings, breakfast costs $35.00 plus HST and a $5.00 gratuity per person. When a breakfast sitting is booked, the room is charged immediately, even if the guest later does not attend.

## Is there an elevator?
The historic house has no elevator. Contact the hotel with questions about requesting a room on the first or second floor. Concierge staff can assist with baggage for arrivals before 8:00 p.m.
