House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. The property is not suitable for unrelated guests. Smoking is not allowed. Additional guests require express approval. Reservations require approval before confirmation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. A refundable cash security deposit of $10,000 is required, governed by a separate agreement signed by owner and guest before check-in. Payments are generally non-refundable. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after the replacement reservation is fully paid. If not rebooked, the original dates may still be used provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above that amount must be by check, ACH or wire. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime visits.

Getting there

The property is not handicap accessible. All bedrooms are upstairs. Nearby beaches include Flying Point Beach, W. Scott Cameron Beach and Ocean Road Beach. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
