The house

This 2,380-square-foot residence sleeps six in two king beds and one queen bed. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors connect the open-concept living spaces to multiple lanais. Greyed woods, white oak flooring, and stone and glass tile feature throughout the interiors, with a formal dining area beside the living space.

The kitchen has custom cabinetry, Thermador and Bosch appliances, a refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove, ice maker and wine fridge. Each bedroom has central air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a lanai, ocean views, a walk-in closet and a television. The primary ensuite includes a standalone shower, bathtub and double vanity.

Beach towels, mats, umbrellas, chairs, a cooler and a beach bag are provided, along with an outdoor shower. Shared resort facilities include the Maliula and Kaiholo pools, a two-tiered ocean-facing infinity-edge pool, Timbers Spa, Timbers Fitness Center, tennis courts and golf. Dining options include Hualani's Restaurant and Bar and Nalu's Restaurant at the Maliula pool. Concierge services, weekly resort activities, bicycles, spa services and paid beach-equipment rentals are available.

Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, cable television, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, hot water and shampoo are provided. Parking, daily housekeeping, roundtrip airport transfers and pre-arrival grocery shopping may be arranged through the resort. Lihue Airport (LIH) is a five-minute drive away. A mandatory $40 daily resort fee is charged by and paid to Hokuala Resort upon checkout.
