House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. No guests beyond the maximum occupancy of 12 are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Commercial activities, rotating groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval and may involve additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. A refundable cash security deposit of $10,000 is required. Its payment and administration are governed by a separate Security Deposit Agreement signed by owner and guest before check-in. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $150.00 per night of the reservation. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and one end-of-stay cleaning are included; additional requested cleanings are at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancelled dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the original dates at the same or higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the new reservation is collected. If the property is not rebooked, the original guest may still use the reserved dates if payments meet the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Town shopping, restaurants and beaches are nearby. The property does not provide beach access. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
