An outdoor camera at the front door faces only the entry and does not monitor private areas. Safety equipment includes smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher, a first-aid kit and outdoor lighting.

Lake Whatcom, Galbraith Mountain trails and Sudden Valley Golf Course are a short drive away. Downtown Bellingham is a 15-minute drive, BLI Airport is a 25-minute drive and the Mt. Baker area is a 1.5-hour drive.
