How can I reach Bocas del Toro from Panama City?
There are two main options for reaching Bocas del Toro on Isla Colón: By air — the fastest and most comfortable option: Air Panama offers a direct flight from Albrook Airport (PAC) in Panama City to Bocas del Toro Airport (BOC). The flight takes about 1 hour. This is described as the easiest and fastest way to reach Bocas. By land and sea — a more budget-friendly option: Take a public bus from Albrook Terminal or a private shuttle from Panama City to Almirante, the port for Bocas del Toro. Private shuttle services depend on the group size and must be requested in advance. The road journey takes 10–12 hours. From Almirante, take a water taxi to Bocas del Toro on Isla Colón. Water taxis depart every 30–60 minutes, and the boat journey takes about 30 minutes. If you are short on time, fly. If you prefer a more adventurous or budget-conscious trip, take a shuttle or bus plus a boat. Book your shuttle or flight in advance, especially during high season, December–April.
When is support available, and is staff always on site?
